The Interagency Committee on Disability Research (ICDR) will hold its annual State of the Science in Disability Research conference on July 13, 2011 in Arlington, VA.
On July 13th the ICDR will host its annual State of the Science (SOS) in Disability Research conference at the Double Tree Hotel Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. The conference theme is “Meaningful Outcomes for Health, Wellness and Quality of Life through Research and Knowledge Translation.” The opening keynote address will highlight the value of collaborative research toward the improvement of health and disability outcomes. The day will continue with a series of topic specific breakout sessions and roundtable discussions organized by the ICDR subcommittees including the Interagency Subcommittees on Employment, Education, Disability Statistics, Health Disparities, Medical Rehabilitation and the Assistive Technology/Technology Forum. Attendees will benefit from interdisciplinary and cross-dimensional perspectives and learn about future directions for the state of the science in disability research.
