AADMD Week of Inclusive Healthcare

The American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) Student/Resident Committee is hosting a nation-wide discussion on inclusive healthcare (healthcare for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities) for medical and dental students on Saturday, March 6th from 9:30-11am PST. 

The event will feature a presentation situating intellectual disability in the broader health equity movement through a discussion of implicit bias, conceptual models of disability, ableism, and the concept of intersectionality. 

They will then break out into discussion groups where students will have the opportunity to talk with leaders within developmental medicine/dentistry and self-advocates about other topics related to inclusive health.
